We'll be the first to admit that Penned In Blood is a no-frills competition that is designed to help writers improve on their screenplays for either submitting to large festivals or marketing to producers.
In a world where a poorly-formatted script will get tossed out before the end of the third page and a fantastic screenplay will go home empty-handed because a member of the jury didn't like the subject matter, we know that screenwriters can use all the feedback they can get!
All submissions receive up to three pages of comprehensive notes that are sent out via email once the judging period concludes. (Screenplay contest entries also receive the initial evaluation scorecard used by the jury.)
The winners of each category* are determined by jury and will receive custom digital laurels.

*Category winners are at the discretion of the jury. If there are not enough qualified entries in any particular category, a winner may not be named for that category.
